Why We Require an Evaluation
Every pet has a unique personality. Our evaluation lets us meet your dog or cat in a calm, supervised setting so we can understand their temperament, comfort level, and any special needs before they join our facility. It protects your pet, our staff, and every other guest in our care.
The evaluation is completely free and takes 30–60 minutes. Most pets are approved same-day.
Evaluation Criteria
What We Assess
During the evaluation, our trained staff observe your pet in a controlled environment and review the following:
- Temperament and stress response in a new environment
- Comfort level around unfamiliar people and staff
- Behavior around other dogs (for group daycare candidates)
- Current vaccination records (Rabies + DHPP for dogs; Rabies + FVRCP for cats)
- Any medical conditions, medications, or dietary needs
- Overall health and grooming condition
What Happens After the Evaluation?
If your pet passes the evaluation, they're cleared for boarding and daycare — no re-evaluation needed for future visits. If we identify any concerns, we'll discuss them with you honestly and suggest the best path forward for your pet's comfort and safety.
